The Same Building, Twice, in Six Weeks

Most celebrity property stories are a single transaction with a single headline number. This one's different because of what it repeats. Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, jointly with his mother Meenal Laxman Chaturvedi, has bought a second apartment in Namo Krishna, a premium residential tower in Vile Parle West's Juhu-Vile Parle Development (JVPD) area, for ₹12.63 crore. The registration went through on July 31, 2026, less than two months after the same pair bought another unit in the identical building for ₹13.91 crore in June.

What They Actually Bought

The two apartments aren't identical. The newer purchase sits on the seventh floor, with a RERA carpet area of roughly 1,640.63 sq ft and a total usable area near 1,804.67 sq ft, including an automatic robotic parking space. The earlier June deal, on the sixth floor of the same tower, is larger, with a carpet area close to 2,174 sq ft. Both were bought from Relcon Infraprojects Ltd, and the July transaction carried a stamp duty of roughly ₹75.76 lakh. Combined, the two apartments put the actor and his mother's spend in this one building at more than ₹26.5 crore inside a six-week window.

Why Buying Twice in One Building Is the Actual Story

If you're used to seeing celebrities scatter purchases across different neighbourhoods or even different cities, back-to-back buys in the same tower reads differently. It suggests a level of conviction in this specific project, not just the JVPD micro-market generally, strong enough to commit again before the ink was even dry on the first deal. That's a notably different signal than a one-off luxury purchase, and it's the kind of pattern that's more common with family offices or serious investors than with a typical celebrity home purchase. It's a useful contrast if you look at Preity Zinta's real estate moves, which spread across Bandra and even overseas rather than concentrating in one building.

Why JVPD Specifically Keeps Winning

JVPD's pull isn't new, but it's worth being specific about why it still commands this kind of commitment. The pocket sits close to Juhu Beach, has strong connectivity to both domestic and international airports and to BKC, and carries a long-standing concentration of Bollywood residents alongside industrialists and business leaders. Limited land availability in an already built-out neighbourhood tends to keep values climbing steadily rather than spiking, which is generally the profile serious buyers look for over a flashier, faster-appreciating address.

What This Fits Into

It's worth being clear about what this transaction actually is: two purchase prices, registered, in the public record. That's more concrete than most celebrity property coverage manages, but it's also just a snapshot, not a return. If Chaturvedi holds these apartments and sells years from now, the interesting number will be the gap between what he paid and what he gets, the same kind of math that made Madhuri Dixit's three documented Mumbai property sales worth digging into: not the headline price alone, but what it actually compounded to over a real holding period.
